Shift Supervisor - Ladismith at Astral Foods Ltd

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Coordinating production through supervision of staff, time keeping and proper operation of all equipment;
• First line support for engineering breakdowns, generating work orders and maintaining plant standards;
• Manage daily plant efficiencies, inspections, checklists;
• Ensure quality feed production;
• Commit and comply to the requirements of ISO, HACCP, 20 Keys and any other company management systems.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of Grade 12;
• At least 3 years in the feed industry with proven supervisory experience;
• Computer literacy with experience in MS Office;
• A valid driver's license
• Strong leadership ability;
• Problem solving and planning skills;
• Work effectively in a team environment;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Mechanically orientated;
• Pro-active and able to use own initiative;
• A high level of personal and professional integrity;
• Be prepared to work shifts and overtime on short notice.
