SMPP Senior Supervisor X 1 REF:IVP-SMPPSS-2501 at Ivanhoe Mines

Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Diploma in Construction Management or Construction Supervision Certificate/Diploma
• Relevant trade or technical qualification in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil disciplineLeadership and team management
• Contractor coordination and performance monitoring
• Problem-solving and decision-making
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Platework construction practices
• Project management principles and quality control systems

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: 

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a construction environment, including SMPP and civils
• Proven experience in contractor management and project supervision

Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act; implement and manage a site-specific safety plan
• Conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and prepare safety close-out reports
• Supervise day-to-day SMPP and civils activities; coordinate contractors and sub-contractors
• Monitor progress against schedule; manage material control and availability
• Develop and implement quality management plans; conduct inspections and maintain quality records
• Assist with budget preparation; monitor costs and implement cost control measures
• Lead and mentor team members; resolve IR issues; build a high-performance culture
