Ensure sustainable development in the city through provision of sufficient and sensibly situated of roads reserves and constructed roads.
Ensure sustainable development in the city through provision of adequately sized storm water reticulation and sensibly situated servitudes for future requirements.
Assist with the evaluation of Land Use Applications in terms of roads and storm water management requirements and practices.
Assist and ensure policies, standards, regulations and legislation is maintained across the city and that all developers comply
Participate in planning and development of the Roads and Storm water Master Plans
Participate in the development of an overall program planning and implementation, including the development of annual business and operating plan with respect to road infrastructure
Ensure proper land-use management controls are implemented in the area (i.e. drafting of service agreements, overseeing that SDP's and Building Plans are conforming to requirements, ensuring to compliance prior to issuing of various land-use certificates, etc.)
Monitor external information and ensure sufficient knowledge of related acts, regulations, and regulatory frameworks and implement accordingly.
