    Social Media Manager

    About the Job

    • Dermalogica is recruiting a dynamic and motivated Social Media Manager to lead the consumer content strategy across key social media platforms and support campaigns in an organic capacity to increase brand and product awareness, drive positive engagement, amplification and community growth and to ensure brand consistency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media and applications
    • Constantly develop and push boundaries of social media as they develop and change, including adoption of Insta Stories, TikTok Live, and other technologies as they become available to encourage engagement
    • Perform research on current benchmark trends and target audience preferences as well as competitor activity
    • Think innovatively and suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness such as with promotions and competitions
    • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
    • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms
    • Own the creation and implementation of asocial media content calendar which includes monthly sales objectives and initiatives
    • Create original content and leverage existing global assets as required to post to platforms
    • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
    • Assist our Senior Graphic Designer in content creation using best practice guidelines and data analytics insights from previously successful content
    • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, Instagram, profile pictures)
       
    • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics and ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics
    • Regularly capture and report relevant performance metrics (such as likes, engagements, traffic conversions, etc)
    • Set specific objectives and report on ROI

    Analyze data from past campaigns and posts to advise and create future content with these insights in mind
     

    • Ensure brand consistency across social platforms by overseeing day-to-day management of campaigns; deliver consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology
    • Collaborate and align with other teams such as sales and the marketing team to ensure consistency in our communication and brand message
       
    • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company, and ensure a positive customer service experience
    • Manage the community management to drive positive brand conversations. Ensure questions, comments and related opportunities are handled with a well-executed, high-touch experience.
    • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
    • Facilitate scaling brand and company awareness through various social media channels
    • Stay abreast of earned/organic posts and press that warrant reposting on social platforms

    Requirements:

    Undergraduate Degree (Marketing/Communications) preferred
    3-5 years in a Digital Marketing/Social Media role (ideally in the prestige beauty, luxury or fashion industries) required
    Social Media/Community Management with a proven track record of dramatically increasing followers and engagement rates
    Experience with TikTok and Instagram content creation and analytics
    Google Analytics certification is preferred
    General knowledge of SEO and internet ranking for web content
    Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
    Relevant experience in determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns accordingly
    Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
