The following opportunity exists in SANSA, to be filled by individual with the relevant skills, drive, competencies, and qualifications

Reporting to the ICT Project Manager, the position will perform end-to-end software development full life-cycle (SDLC) activities as well as perform Proof of Concept (POC), Project Deployment, and Project Roles as required. Responsible for developing and delivering software solutions that support the organisation’s overall strategic objectives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications and experience: 

• A minimum of a three-year degree or diploma in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar qualification
• Certification as a Certified Developer will be advantageous 
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in  Software Development, Programming or similar roles
• Knowledge and experience of:
  • Python, C++, Labview, Java and PHP programming experience
  • Programming & software product development and delivery skills 
  • Knowledge of OpenSource software 
  • Working knowledge of the principles of controlling hardware systems with computers 
  • Ability to model systems in software
• A valid driver's license
