Software Development Engineer at Amazon

This position is a leadership position in the team that builds and evolves the software required to provision EC2 instances and manage them throughout their life cycle. This software is the foundation for the vast number of high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based applications built by Amazon and AWS customers. We're looking for people who like solving challenging problems of scale and availability, and have demonstrated capacity for technical leadership and innovation, while meeting business objectives in a rapidly changing environment.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience in a software development environment, including internships
• BS/MS/PhD in computer science or equivalent
• Experience in any of Java, Scala, Ruby, Perl, C/C++ or C#
• Expertise in delivering high-quality, innovative applications
• Effective and customer focus
• Curious with computer science fundamentals
• Up to date analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities
