About the role

• As the Software Development Manager, you will lead a technical team and provide strategic technical direction to ensure the successful delivery of our product lifecycle. This encompasses the development of new product features, as well as the support and maintenance of existing ones. You will drive efficiency, optimization, and innovation within your teams while fostering their professional growth. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders to set priorities and manage deliverables, guiding and supporting your team with technical expertise, and overseeing budgeting and roadmap planning. Additionally, you will work to identify and implement process improvements, encourage innovative solutions, and support team development.

• People management and development practices and principles
• Stakeholder management
• Functional knowledge particular to the product (e.g. Credit or App)
• Budgeting and accounting principles
• Business analysis and design
• Project Management principles and methodologies

Our ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or information technology – Computer Science
• At least 5 years’ experience in software development management
• Experience in leading a team in Cloud Solutions / Mobile Development

Experience of:

• leading and working in an agile development environment
• crafting roadmaps
• managing a budget
• using technical skills to support and guide a technical team
• to establish priorities and successfully manage deliverables
• utilizing communication and relationship management skills to engage with stakeholders
• using leadership to influence in other areas.
