The Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our savings products, which are among the most complex and integral within the company. This role is essential for driving the strategic vision of our product architecture, ensuring seamless integration across all systems, clients, and processes. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for re-architecting legacy systems into modern domain structures, leveraging a wide range of technologies from COBOL to AWS and Kafka. This hands-on role requires a technically proficient individual who can write code, work closely with the development team, and implement architecture in large, complex systems.
Our ideal candidate has:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
At least 7 years’ experience in Software Development / Software Engineering
Proven track record in senior engineering positions
At least 2 years’ experience in solution architecture, particularly in large, complex systems.
Extensive experience with both legacy systems (like COBOL) and modern technologies (such as AWS, Kafka, .NET, and Java).
Significant experience in the banking sector or is highly preferable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various stakeholder
