Solutions Architect at Datacentrix

• Managed Talent Solutions client in the mining sector is looking for a Solutions Architect who will be responsible for for designing, implementing, and managing IT PMO solutions that align with the IT and business objectives of an organisation. This role involves analysing business requirements, creating architectural blueprints, and ensuring the integration of various systems to meet the organisation’s needs. This will be an 8-month FTC with the possibility to extend. Must have at least 5 years relevant experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyse Business Requirements: Translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Design and Implement Systems: Create end-to-end integrated systems and oversee their implementation.
• Evaluate Current Systems: Assess existing systems architecture and recommend improvements.
• Technical Problem Solving: Resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Stakeholder Communication: Inform stakeholders about the status of projects.
• Research and Development: Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose changes to improve existing systems.
• Team Supervision: Provide guidance and supervision to development teams.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and roadmaps.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IM systems, including PPM, hardware, software, and networking.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex situations and design effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience: Proven experience in IM architecture, with a focus on system integration and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe) are a plus.
