Sourcing Manager- Subsystems - Dunnottar at Alstom

Key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:

Manage Subsystem Team.

• Formulate and/or implement subsystem sourcing strategy.
• Manage supplier QCDED performance with interface with quality, supply chain and economic development.
• Support Procurement Specialist when facing commercial and contractual negotiations in the project execution. 

 Responsibilities:

• Support execution of the sourcing strategy for metallic and c-class commodities.
• Domain financial performance (cost control, product continuous improvement focus).
• Ensure compliance to processes, and application of tools for team.
• Supplier performance management for overall project activities.
• Contribute to commodity risk management and sets appropriate mitigation plan within domain.
• Facilitate resolution of major issues through escalation processes.
• Secure supplier selection and purchase order placement on time within domain.
• Challenge internal stakeholders (engineering, supply chain, quality, etc.) to secure project execution and profitability.
• Track sourcing performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviation.

 Know How:

• Managing and maintaining contracts with local and international suppliers.
• Negotiating prices, price escalations as well as terms and conditions.
• Analyzing and evaluating supplier performance.
• Managing daily, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Developing and maintaining supplier relationships.

Educational requirements:

• Industrial/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer or other Engineering disciplines.
• MBA Desirable.

Technical Knowledge / Experience:

• Strong understanding of business processes, Procurement processes and procedures.
• Working with global and regional commodity teams, as well as suppliers to address and resolve issues based on defined KPI’s.
• Execution of the commodity or sub-commodity strategic sourcing activities, identification of potential risks, issues and opportunities.
