Special Task Supervisor - Port Elizabeth, South Africa at Vestas

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of services on an operational level with respect to process adherence, service quality, safety standards and performance.
•  Assigned staff is supervised/led/coordinated and a positive and effective working relationship is established / maintained.  
• interpersonal skills development, competencies and training actions are managed including safety related (Safety walks / talks)
•  Compliance with Vestas standards across the dedicated site and processes, procedures and tools implemented continuously.
•  Ensures obeying regional laws and regulations
•  Resource availability given to perform dedicated work orders
•  Build and maintain customer relations.
•  Risk management
•  Spare parts and tools management
•  Planning and identifying better maintenance practices to ensure an increased performance.
•  Coordinate the special task Team activities.
•  Responsible for Safe working practices and ISO system adherence at Wind farm sites.

Qualifications:

•  Post-Matric Engineering qualification (National higher Diploma, National Diploma, Trade Test, BTech or equivalent as a minimum), Project Management.

Competencies:

•  Must have minimum of 3 years' experience in a wind industry.
•  Experience in operation and maintenance of a wind farm.
•  Proven Leadership skills
•  Knowledge of lifting operations and statutory inspections
•  Solid communication and coordination skills
•  Basic knowledge of substation and Electrical infrastructure 
•  Knowledge of Vestas processes and Vestas Tools, i.e., Salesforce, CIR Portal, and SAP. 
•  Physically and medically fit to work/climb a wind turbine.
•  Willingness to travel
•  Comprehensive wind turbine technical knowledge,
•  Driver's license.
•  Previous supervisory role and supporting cross-functional teams will be an added advantage.
