Ensure accurate and timely information from the Asset Health Monitoring team to optimise plant and equipment performance using all available data.
Your duties will include:
Implement the equipment maintenance strategy to align with the production profile.
Enhance engineering discipline by providing quality work and feedback to the maintenance management system.
Mitigate production risks by managing them proactively.
Ensure quality control/ assurance during routine test work and contractor management.Identify control variances/failures, report on these, and recommend and implement remediation, with EoR support as appropriate.
Act as a technical expert and the first point of reference for leading practices in Asset Health Monitoring.
Provide on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) input into condition and asset health monitoring practices and tactics.
Advise and assist the principal reliability engineer on developing and continuously improving the business Asset Health Monitoring company strategy.
Participate in on-site asset tactics development processes to ensure they support the business Asset Health Monitoring Strategy.
Ensure that tactics and strategies are in place for online monitoring systems and equipment to be adequately maintained and reliable and that they provide accurate and timely information to enable the Asset Health Monitoring team to be successful.
Instate the relevant systems and processes to ensure that the hardware and software infrastructure supporting the Asset Health Monitoring team are maintained and reliable.
Ensure that the communication and collaboration between the site reliability and execution teams and the Asset Health Monitoring teams is effective and seamless.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree /BTech in Engineering (NQF7)
SA Drivers licence
Experience
Efficient team and resource management skills demonstrated.
Thorough understanding of condition monitoring principles and practices.
Wide-ranging expertise in reliability engineering and asset management across all domains.
Proven advanced problem-solving skills for complex data challenges related to mining assets.
Proficient in analysing large datasets to optimise operational performance.
Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced mining environment.
In-depth knowledge of mining plants, heavy mobile equipment and maintenance practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical insights to diverse audiences.
