Specialist: Asset Management at The Coca-Cola Company

Job Description    

• Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Specialist: Asset Management, to join the Enabling Technology team at CCBA. The role will report to the Group Head: Technology Enablement.

Key Purpose:

• To establish and govern enterprise IT Asset Management and Configuration Management practices, ensuring effective lifecycle management, accurate asset and configuration information, software licence compliance, cost optimisation and strong technology governance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities    
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:

• Asset Management Strategy & Governance: Establish and govern the enterprise asset management framework, ensuring effective lifecycle management, standardisation and accountability across technology assets.
• Software Asset Management: Manage software assets and licensing to ensure compliance, minimise risk and optimise software utilisation and expenditure.
• Hardware Asset Management: Govern the lifecycle of hardware assets, maintaining accurate inventories and ensuring effective deployment, refresh and disposal practices.
• Configuration Management & CMDB Governance: Maintain a trusted and accurate CMDB, ensuring configuration items, dependencies and service relationships are effectively managed and governed.
• Service Asset & Configuration Control: Provide reliable asset and configuration information to support incident, problem, change and release management processes and operational decision-making.
• Risk, Audit & Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with governance standards, licensing requirements and audit obligations while proactively managing asset and configuration risks.
• Vendor & Contract Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and support contract governance, renewals, licensing obligations and commercial compliance.
• Financial Management & Cost Optimisation: Support budgeting, forecasting and technology cost management through asset visibility, utilisation monitoring and optimisation initiatives.
• Reporting & Governance: Deliver meaningful reporting, dashboards and governance insights on asset performance, compliance, CMDB health and optimisation opportunities.
• Capability Development & Continuous Improvement: Drive maturity improvements across asset and configuration management practices, processes, tooling and organisational capability.

Skills, Experience & Education    
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Management or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous.
• ITIL 4 Foundation or Managing Professional.
• Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or equivalent.
• ISO 19770, IAITAM or related Asset Management certifications advantageous.

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in Asset Management, Configuration Management, Service Management or IT Governance roles.
• Experience managing enterprise CMDB platforms and configuration management processes.
• Experience managing software licensing, software compliance and vendor audits.
• Experience supporting enterprise ITSM environments and governance frameworks.
• Experience working in large, complex, multi-country technology environments.
