    Specialist D&I and Culture

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    Provide a specialised and integrated service to the assigned portfolio by identifying, advising and implementing people solutions in the disciplines of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Culture transformation. This involves a deep understanding and experience in the client's talent issues, in regard to culture transformation and the management of challenging D&I mandate; in order to provide a service and solutions that truly address the business requirements.

    The role provides an advisory service, leadership support, design and the execution of culture transformation initiatives and D&I recommended solutions that enables the business to attract and retain key talent, as well as create the most enabling culture for the business.

     

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    Engage with the key stakeholders and HR teams to build a deep understanding of the strategic priorities of the business and collaboratively develop solutions with the D&I, Change and Culture business solutions partners.

    Partner with business stakeholders and HR to translate strategic priorities into concrete D&I, Culture and Change plans and initiatives that aim to build the required future capabilities or address gaps in either motivation, culture alignment or buy-in on specific areas of organisational change.

    • Change and Culture

    Identify key organisational culture and change areas for which the assigned client portfolio will require support and prepare recommendations on how to assist leaders and employees to navigate and buy-in the transformation and mind-shift process successfully and with minimum disruption to engagement and productivity. This includes being familiar with change tools, frameworks and applications to be able to apply these independently in the client area.

    • Diversity and Inclusion

    Provide expert knowledge and guidance in the development of D&I agenda and the key initiatives that need to be implemented to achieve objectives. In integrate D&I into the culture transformation journey, talent landscape and leadership development

    Provide advice and support to management teams on matters related to D&I and culture to enable leaders with useful and practical advice on how to address these matters effectively.

    • Equity and Governance

    Drive the EE Strategy and programs for Sasol and drive initiatives in relation to legislative frameworks (e.g. Employment Equity Act, and BBBEE Management Control.) as well as relevant legislative requirements across other markets.

    Drafting, Implementation and monitoring of Group EE/ Diversity Plan and responsible for statutory and internal reporting analysis and insights

    Provide support and expert advice on BBBEE strategy and partner with key stakeholders (Management Control, Employment Equity), including facilitation of Department of Employment and Labour & Director General inspections.

     

    • Employee Engagement and Team Effectiveness

    Support the implementation of BU or group-wide people surveys by ensuring these are communicated and rolled out to the client portfolio and interpreting the data to identify trends and areas of concern.

    Conduct or organise focus groups to identify specific actions that can be taken in the client portfolio to increase levels of engagement and/or to support the desired culture transformation process of Sasol. Monitor the execution and effectiveness of the actions identified.

    Support, develop and deliver team intervention for business in support of fostering high-performance teams.

    • Thought Leadership

    Continuously explore new trends and thinking in the disciplines of culture, talent and inclusion to be able to provide solutions that are aligned with the latest thought leadership and research.

    Create networks and partnerships in the business to embed and internalize culture and D&I as business imperative.

    Engage with peers in the function to exchange useful information, ideas and align on a consistent approach to talent, change and culture in the BU.

     

    Formal Education

    • University Bachelor's Degree

    Min Experience

    • 6+ relevant years in Culture Change Management and/or D&I (EE)
