SAP literacy will be advantageous
Knowledge of reticulation networks and plumbing/construction processes as well as Occupational Health and Safety Act
Physically fit and able-bodied
Ability to lift heavy manhole covers, carry heavy equipment and fit into confined spaces
Required to work in all weather conditions
Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies, perform standby duties and planned overtime
Willingness to enter confined areas.
Key Performance Areas
Network control and monitoring to ensure optimal operation of water reticulation system
Troubleshooting to ensure faults are detected and repaired and functionality restored with minimal disruption
Inspections to ensure maintenance and repair sequences are efficient and effective
Activating and coordinating appropriate technical response teams to ensure that defects are attended to with optimal efficiency.
Capture relevant feedback on service request/ maintenance orders/ job cards
Preparing resource requirements and completing service/works orders
Reviewing drawings and building codes and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
Performs activities within a trade that involves designing, constructing, repairing, fabricating, fault finding and diagnostics. Uses the full range of appropriate tools and equipment.
Complete inspection reports for the attention of the supervisor.
Works independently and required to supervise staff.
