Specialist/Sr. Specialist – Structural Design at Defy Appliances

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To manage and implement platform projects from conceptual phase to implementation
• To design products/components and or make improvements/changes to existing products/ components in line with market requirements and trends.
• To manage and implement cost reduction/quality improvement projects
• To ensure products comply to standard requirements
• Conduct laboratory experiments, testing prototypes, and collecting data to evaluate product performance.
• Keeping abreast of the latest scientific advancements and industry regulations.
• Working with cross-functional teams like Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure smooth product development and commercialization.
• Studying market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify potential areas for innovation.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree - Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or related field
• Experience in 2D & 3D drawing and modelling.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production or R&D based environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Product Development/Project Management experience would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of Sheet Metal Design Principles, Plastic & Electrical components would be advantageous.
