Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Ensure necessary operational controls, governance and policies are continuously implemented, maintained, and adhered to and that all relevant controls are documented and executed.
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for the resolution of application and infrastructure-related incidents and problems. Perform Business Continuity Management and Conduct Disaster Recovery Planning and executions.
• Compile incident reports, attend/conduct incident reviews and follow through to ensure permanent fixes for production problems. Leading resolution implementation thereof with the relevant DevSecOps, Development, and Systems Analysis teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues, develop solutions, and document corrective processes.
• Interface with different role players (Vendors, Change Management, IT, Customer Care departments, etc.) to ensure that any operational changes or incidents are effectively and efficiently resolved.
• Facilitate the process of acceptance and/or application performance testing to ensure a stable production environment.
• Facilitating and managing release deployments and changes in the production environments.
• Build, deploy and maintain cloud-based services (AWS) in the development and production environments.
• Design and implement supporting infrastructure and tooling for software module development and operation.
• Implement supporting database and middleware capabilities to support software module development and operations.
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability.

Ideally Your Should Possess The Following

• Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
• 3 Year-related degree or diploma in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 3- 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Working in a DevOps Engineering & Application Support (standby) environment utilizing various technologies.
• Exposure to Enterprise applications (i.e. large-scale applications) with a high availability requirement.
• Cloud such as AWS experience.
• Linux/Unix experience.
• Extensive experience supporting Enterprise IT Systems.
• Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting and fault finding on Web, Applications, and Cloud environments.
• Application of ITIL principles in an operational environment.
• Analytical, Problem solving, Leadership, Good Communication (verbal and written), and Decision-Making skills.
• Engineering Certification (AWS Preferred).
