We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bus Technician to join our team. The Bus Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our bus fleet to ensure their safe operation and longevity.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on buses, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on buses, such as engine problems, electrical system malfunctions, and transmission issues
Conduct thorough inspections of buses to identify any potential issues or safety hazards
Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on buses
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on buses
Qualifications:
Matric/NQF Level 4 equivalent
Trade Test Qualification
Driver's License (Code 10/14 preferably)
Vocational or technical training in automotive or diesel mechanics
At least 3 years of experience working as a bus technician or in a related field
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in tight spaces
