Specialist: VB Finance Business Partnering at Vodacom

Role purpose:

• The successful candidate will join the Finance Business Partnering team for Vodacom Business, and actively partner with the Vodacom Business business unit, in order to support their growth and related strategic plans, through analysis of related trends and being a friendly challenger of the Vodacom Business role players. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide the Vodacom Business Unit (VB) product and sales teams with financial impact assessment on product launch decisions as well as post implementation reviews and on-going product performance and profitability analysis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining customer profitability reports
• Analysing and supporting decision makers on customer profitability
• Internally supporting Vodacom Business sales segments with insights into their respective financial performance
• Interacting and supporting Head Office with Vodacom Business performance
• Supporting month end closure analysis, all Vodacom Business product lines and customer segments
• Compilation of value adding management and governance body reporting
• Support VB product, wholesale and commercial teams with finance investment decision analysis and adequate business challenge in the launch and on-going evaluation of products and campaigns.
• Provide accurate data and robust financial models for product feasibility decisions.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Must have technical/professional qualifications and experience: 

• BCom degree or similar - essential
• Minimum 5 years in a corporate environment, specifically in a business partnering and/or financial role – essential
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbal and in writing, across functions and levels of seniority – essential.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Technical skills to extract and analyse data using SQL– preferred.
• Proficient in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and/or SAP – preferred.
