Role purpose:
- The Specialist Demand and Delivery will provide project delivery support to cyber security-driven programs within the Vodacom South Africa operations. The post holder will support delivery activity whilst providing direction and guidance to the delivery team to ensure a successful outcome of projects using an Agile methodology. You will need to provide oversight of projects from an end-to-end perspective, including the management and achievement of all delivery milestones, and to ensure the projects are delivered in line with agreed budgets.
- The demand and Delivery Senior Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all project Business Cases where the Business Cases will be presented to the Head of Cyber Security for investment approval. You will also play a pivotal role in the department's long-range planning activities, developing Technology Security’s 3 to 5-year strategy, as well as helping to set the departmental objectives / KPIs that the delivery program will help achieve. You will need to work collaboratively with different Stakeholders within Vodacom, building relationships to ensure the successful delivery of the Security portfolio for Vodacom SA.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the cross-functional team by developing a strong project vision of successes and nurturing strong relationships and trust within the team – lead from the front, always confident and supportive.
- Direct and motivate the cross-functional project team by creating a clear, shared sense of purpose and keeping them informed of all project plans and issues.
- Help the team identify and manage all stakeholders appropriately.
- Assist the team with the core skills required to deliver projects effectively including project planning, risk management, change management, financial governance, and stakeholder and supplier management.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all Stakeholders.
- Oversee dashboard reporting and status updates about Demand Delivery milestones and agreed on KPIs.
- Identify and raise Risks & Issues to the Programme / Portfolio / Projects as appropriate.
- Contribute to the analysis and tracking of progress against all security control deliveries.
- Supervise the development, maintenance, and assurance of a Long Range Plan / Pipeline of viable projects based on robust cost/benefit analysis.
- Understand and manage the impact of de-scoped / deferred project deliverables and factor them into the Technology Security Strategy or Corporate Risk Register.
Ideally you should possess the following:
- Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in leading cyber and technology-related programs.
- Good knowledge and understanding of technical security controls.
- Good knowledge of and experience in security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, risk management, incident management, threat management, etc.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with business judgment and ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Good business and financial acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience in project initiation, planning, and governance.
