SQL Database Administrator at Network Recruitment

Requirements:

• 5+ yrs SQL DBA experience
• 4+ yrs experience with SQL 2012/2014/2016
• Reporting services
• PowerBi
• Integration services
• All forms of SQL replication
• Always on availability groups
• T-SQL
• Replication (merge and transactional)
• Clear criminal and credit record
• Mathematics and Science in school (A, B, C)

KPA's:

• Development and testing support
• Install and configure SQL, SSRS , SSAS
• Performance analysis and tuning
• Diagnosing performance problems
• Optimisation of SQL queries
• Creating indexes for improved performance
• Suggesting table design changes to improve performance
• Creating backups and recovery testing of the backups
• Capacity planning for continued data growth
• Use of change logs to keep remote databases in sync.
• Exposure to working within the framework of accepted project management methodologies
• Willingness to perform tasks not directly related to job function in order to ensure timely and cost effective completion of the project
• Proven ability to assist team with investigation, analysis, design and delivery of solutions
• Ability to ensure delivery across multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem identification skills
• Ability to provide input into technical architecture decisions
• Ability to identify shortcoming and improve on current processes and standards
• Management of bug resolutions with vendor
