    SQL Database Administrator

    About the job

    • Our client, a financial services company based in Cape Town, is seeking a SQL Database Administrator with cloud experience to join their dynamic team. This is a remote opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years' experience in managing MS SQL Server solutions, as well as 1-2 years' AWS experience.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    • 3-4 years' experience in managing MS SQL Server solutions
    • 1-2 years' experience with AWS
    • Experience in database design, implementation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
    • Experience with backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery, and business continuity
    • Strong knowledge of database security and compliance regulations
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • AWS and/or MS SQL Server certifications preferred
