Our client, a financial services company based in Cape Town, is seeking a SQL Database Administrator with cloud experience to join their dynamic team. This is a remote opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years' experience in managing MS SQL Server solutions, as well as 1-2 years' AWS experience.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
3-4 years' experience in managing MS SQL Server solutions
1-2 years' experience with AWS
Experience in database design, implementation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Experience with backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery, and business continuity
Strong knowledge of database security and compliance regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
AWS and/or MS SQL Server certifications preferred
