St Peters Pre-Prep Teacher at ST Peters Preparatory Schools

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching Grade 00.
• Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate educational activities aligned with the ECD curriculum.
• Experience in teaching Inquiry-Based Learning.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding developmental and classroom activities. 
• Set up and maintain an organised, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
• Mentoring, supporting, and team teaching with a Teaching Assistant.
• Facilitating learning within the preschool environment that caters for a diverse range of learning needs and styles.
• Establishing and maintaining a teaching environment that is both safe and nurturing. 
• The ability to address parents regarding the St Peter's School Best Practice pedagogy. 

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

• ECD NQF level 6 or a Foundation Phase Qualification
• Fully qualified with SACE
• Experience in remedial is an advantage
• 3 years’ experience in ECD education (Grade 000 – Grade R).

• Must have excellent written,  verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and proficient IT skills imperative.
• Prepared to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications, and policies.
• In-depth knowledge of best practice classroom activities and teaching methods for this age group.
• The flexibility, ability, and willingness to work outside school hours, when necessary.
• Must be a team player and work alongside colleagues collaboratively.
