St Peters Prep Schools Barista at ST Peters Preparatory Schools

Duties (not an exhaustive list):

• Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks
• Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers
• Servicing customers and taking orders
• Ordering, receiving, and distributing stock supplies
•  Assist in the kitchen as and when required
• Receiving and processing customer payments
• Handling card payments and SnapScan
• Cleaning and sanitising work areas, seating areas, utensils, and equipment

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric
• Food and Beverage Certificate is an advantage
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Barista
• English (Grade 12) comprehension and writing skills to:
• Understand requisitions and work instructions
• Converse with customers and service providers
• Completing HR staff records
• Basic numeracy skills, including:
• Conducting basic reports
• Minimum literacy level of NQF Level ABET 4 (preferably higher)
