Staging Controller at Bidvest Tank Terminals

Job Advert Summary    

• A position for a Staging Controller has become available within the Logistics Department at BTT Richards Bay

Main Purpose of the Job:

• To coordinate the staging and movement of road vehicles entering the TNPA Vehicle staging area for access to the terminal

Minimum Requirements    

• Matric with Mathematics
• 3 years’ experience in security and/or vehicle/gate control
• 3 years of administrative experience
• Plant operational and Logistics experience advantageous
• Basic computer skills
• Drivers’ Licence

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Liaise with TNPA personnel to coordinate the staging of all vehicles at the TNPA vehicle staging area
• Ensure all vehicle documentation is correct, valid and verified
• Control vehicle access to site according to documentation and orders for loading or discharging
• Liaise with the RBI Logistics team and Operations personnel regarding the need for vehicles to enter the Plant and releasing the vehicles from the staging area
• Document vehicle arrivals and record all details to feed into BTT VSR monitor system Capture vehicle details on the system
• Keep accurate records of driver and vehicle details
• Compile and submit handover reports
• Report all deviations, and incidents
• Check and verify order and transporter details in line with existing orders
• Maintain updated records
• Submit applications for TNPA E-Permits access
