Stock Accountant: Bloemfontein at FS Personnel Recruitment

Salary:

• R45 000 – R55 000 ctc pm, depending on experience.

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Matric
• Accounting qualification such as BCom Accounting, BCom Finance, National Diploma in Accounting, or relevant equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant stock accounting experience
• Previous experience in the transport/logistics/construction industry will be advantageous
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
• Valid driver’s licence

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring of stock levels
• Fleet operating costs
• Fuel and diesel reconciliations
• Vehicle maintenance costs
• Driver advances and expenses
• Trip/load costing
• Cost-per-kilometre analysis
• Fleet profitability/cost analysis
• Transport-related financial reporting
• Monitor income and expenditure against budgets
• Assist with cash-flow management and financial forecasting
• Process and reconcile fuel, toll, vehicle and other transport-related expenses
• Assist with fleet-related financial reporting and cost analysis
• Capture and reconcile vehicle operating costs
• Prepare information required for annual financial statements and audits
• Identify discrepancies, investigate variances and implement corrective action
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
• Provide management with accurate financial information and reports when required
