Stock Controller at Country Bird Holdings Ltd (CBH)

Job Advert Summary    

• We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented and physically capable Stock Controller to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock handling, movement, and control within a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics
• Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse, logistics, or processing plant environment
• Computer literacy (basic to intermediate level)
• Familiar with Translution system
• Familiar with Syspro system (advantageous)
• Ability to operate a handheld scanner
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Medically fit and in good physical health

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Issue pallets to production accurately and timeously
• Receive pallets from production, ensuring correct quality and quantity verification
• Allocate pallets into warehouse bins according to SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Maintain holding room housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness and proper care of equipment
• Ensure strict adherence to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles at all times
• Assist with weekly and monthly stocktakes and reconciliations
• Operate handheld scanners for stock movements and updates
• Identify and report non-conforming or substandard products immediately
• Restack pallets when required to ensure safe and efficient storage
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Report unsafe conditions, hazards, or misconduct without delay
• Maintain positive and cooperative working relationships within the team
