Stock Controller at Multiform Human Development

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stock Controller with a deep understanding of mining operations and exploration drilling equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all stock related activities within the company, specifically focusing on mining operations and exploration drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and control stock levels of mining operations and exploration drilling equipment
• Monitor and track stock movements, including inventory in and out of the warehouse
• Conduct regular stock audits and implement corrective actions to address discrepancies
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of stock
• Collaborate with different departments to forecast stock requirements and maintain optimal levels based on operational needs
• Implement and maintain stock control systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete stock to minimize inventory holding costs
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in relation to stock management

Qualifications:

• Matric
• Diploma or qualification in relevant field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Stock Controller in the mining industry, with expertise in exploration drilling equipment
• Mine Health and Safety Act awareness
• Experience with hazardous material handling
• Proven experience in supply chain management
• Proven experience in inventory control and logistics
• Strong understanding of mining operations and exploration drilling equipment
• Familiarity with safety standards and compliance within the mining industry

Industry-Specific Requirements:
Mining Sector and Mechanical Engineering Sector

• Practical experience with mechanical parts and vehicle components.
• Ability to manage technical stock, including specialized drilling equipment.

Skills and Competencies:

• Inventory Management Systems – Pastel Evolution.
• Technical Knowledge – ability to identify, categorize, and manage mechanical and drilling parts.
• Analytical Skills – monitoring usage, forecasting demand, and preventing shortages.
• Compliance Awareness – ensuring adherence to mining safety and audit requirements.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
