REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Grade 12
Qualification or proof of active study towards an Office Administration qualification or Pharmacy Assistant qualification
Must be computer literate and able to work with healthcare systems
Strong administration and organisational skills
Skilled with Microsoft Excel (SUM / AVERAGE / MIN / MAX / Sorting data etc.)
Experience in a healthcare / Doctor’s practice with claims submissions, billing codes, and general administrative duties to the group practice/Doctor will be advantageous
Displays a proven record of working across administration roles
Capture script details accurately and verify patient’s details on the system
Ensure accurate picking / packing / labelling and checking of medication and consumables
Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing
Understand the impact of accurate use of nappi codes when billing stock
Work closely with the nursing and case management teams
Report on low - / out of stock levels and stock errors and manage them effectively
Complete weekly stock cycle counts, and quarterly full stock takes
Attention to detail and comfortable with numerical information
