Job Description:

• Compliance to specific requirements (legal, standards, procedures and working guides).
• Barred rock is removed within the specified time limit.
• Prescribed support standards are met, proper placement and stacking of equipment.
• Safety and Risk compliance and installed mechanical jacks and safety nets
• Installing hanging wall support Ensuring high standard of safety in section.
• Decide with team whether the development end is safe to work or not.
• Hanging, sidewall and face is barred to solid and footwall is cleaned to the correct distance from the face.
• Misfires are identified and reported.
• Services and ventilation requirements are within the prescribed requirements.
• Safety and Risk compliance Operation of all mechanical equipment/tools required for the role.
• Drilling equipment is correctly assembled and dissembled.
• Holes are drilled on the indicated marks, to the correct depth, line and dip.
• Drilling is completed within the specified time frame and Safety and Risk compliance.
• Ensuring that equipment are transported and stored per the prescribed requirements.
• This role is in the Mining Department at a B3 level reporting to the Stoping Team Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Grade 10 Numeracy and Literacy.
• Grade 12 certificate will be advantageous
• Passed Stope Timber Support training module
• Competent B

To be successful, you will have the following experience:

• Atleast 1 - 2 year experience as Stope Timber.
