Store Floor and Marketing Coordinator (AN 02) at Werkie

Key Responsibilities

Store Floor Presence & Customer Relations

• Be visibly present on the store floor daily
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and staff
• Act as a professional, welcoming “face of the store”

Store Image & Visual Merchandising

• Ensure the store always looks neat, attractive, and welcoming
• Plan and implement displays, promotion islands, and product layouts
• Monitor shelves, presentation, and overall store appearance

Cleanliness & Hygiene

• Oversee cleanliness and hygiene standards in the store
• Coordinate and supervise Health & Food Safety inspections and cleaner inspections 
• Identify and report areas needing attention or maintenance

Promotions, Events & Marketing

• Assist with planning and executing promotions, events, and special activities
• (family days, themed days, awareness days, seasonal campaigns, etc.)
• Assist with basic PR and marketing tasks, including social media support
• (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok – content ideas, photos, videos)

Team & Community Involvement

• Support internal team-building activities
• Assist with community projects and initiatives

Job Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
• Experience in a retail / supermarket environment (beneficial)
• Experience or exposure to visual merchandising / marketing / PR (beneficial)
• Basic computer skills and confidence working with social media
• Strong communication skills
