    Store Manager Job Description:
     
    The Store Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the store to meet the company’s targets and policies. The aim of the store manager is to maximise profit whilst minimising cost. Store managers ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the Rage standard, staff are fully versed on the targets for the day and excellent customer service standards are met.
     
     
    Key responsibilities:

    •         Manage and motivate team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
    •         Store manager must do proper planning to achieve monthly set target.
    •         Manage stock levels; execute Pack up, Recall and Markdown instructions timeously.
    •         Records and check daily figures and report salesmen figures.
    •         Ensure all staff are on time and Skype attendance in every morning.

        Ensure that clocking procedures are adhered to at all times.

    •     Skype in times and attendance register time may not vary by more than 5 minutes.
    •         Conduct unit counts twice a week and once a week in flag ship stores. Reporting correct unit count figures to Head Office
    •         Minimise and maintain stock losses
    •         Ensure housekeeping standards are met and up to the Rage standard
    •         Check window displays daily, check that all merchandised displayed are clean and priced correctly.
    •         Ensure all stock is displayed on sales floor and priced correctly.
    •         Visual merchandising standards must be maintained as per Rage standard.
    •         All administrative work must be checked daily by store manager.
    •         All cash takings from previous day must be signed off and banked daily.
    •         Ensures that there are no boxes and unwanted merchandise kept on sales floor at any given time.
    •         Does routine checks on store maintenance i.e.. Check if all lights in working order, check Rage sign is lit,
    •         Reports broken tiles, walls, fixtures and glass shelving to Head office.

     
            Ensure that all staff working on the till signs and completes the Daily Till Handover Sheet each time he/she works on the till.

    •     No staff member may work on the till without having completed the Daily Till Handover sheet.

        NOTE: Any transgression in this regard may lead to dismissal.

    •         Implement all company Policy and Procedures to all staff.
    •         Conducts training every Friday to all store staff.
    •         Organise special Promotions and Sale events.
    •         Focus and prioritise on customer care standards.
    •         Set plan of action for the opening of new accounts.
    •         Implements stockroom control functions, numbered in accordance and stock packed in alpha numerical order.
    •         Check weekly all damaged stock and IBT out to Head Office.
    •         Ensure all fire exits and escape routes are kept free from obstruction.
    •         Managers to report any and all misconduct to Head Office as a matter of urgency.
    •         Adhere to RAGE Company policy and Procedure / RAGE General Policy at all time.
    •         To adhere to all reasonable and lawful job instructions as issued by Head Office.
    •         Open new accounts, and motivate staff as well.

     
    The Store Manager’s job description may change progressively as and when there is growth in the business, however your aim will always remain the same, of increasing store profits, and providing satisfactory service to customers. Please take note that there are other general responsibilities not specifically mentioned in the contract of employment of this document.
