Storeman - Paper Stores - Cape Town at Novus Holdings Ltd

Job Description    

• Novus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint a Storeman on a temporary contract to receive, store and issue stock according to prescribed procedures and principles, whilst maintaining safe occupational safety standards within the Paper Stores department. The successful incumbent will report to the Paper Stores Supervisor. This position will be a dayshift position (Monday - Friday).

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Receiving, storing and issuing of stock according to prescribed procedures and principles 
• Knowledge of safety standard operating procedures relating to moving equipment 
• Maintaining safe occupational health and safety standards
• Maintenance and operating of clamp and forklift machines
• working knowledge of operating a hand held scanner
• Adherence to all company safety policies, procedures and SOP
• Ad-hoc tasks include general housekeeping and assistance within the department

Educational Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent 
• Experience Requirements    
• Valid Forklift/Clamp license
• Valid Code 01 / A (Counterbalance Truck / Side Shift) and a valid Code 02 / C (Counterbalance truck / Clamps) license
• A minimum of 2 years experience in the same or similar role
• A minimum of 2 years experience in operating a forklift/clamp or any other moving equipment 
• Knowledge of the general layout of a production or manufacturing environment
