Key Areas of Impact:
Efficient Customer Service

• Monitor and analyse stock holding and optimize storage locations.
• Stock control of componentry as well as finished goods.
• Monitor the timeous execution of replenishment, bulk pick and fine pick orders in-line with Distribution Centre and Stores targets.
• Manage the prioritization of orders with sales and production and the customer service departments alike.
• Investigate daily variances in stock transfers.

Continuous Improvement

• Continuously report on the systems performance.
• Reduce overtime, temporary labour and maintenance costs.
• Visual management of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scorecard.
• Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Support the respective best practise champions and monitor progress of the action plans.
• Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in the DC picking area to assist with operational growth and capacity demands to align with company strategy and best practice.

Quality, Safety and Housekeeping

• Ensure the conformance of the Warehouse and Distribution Good Management Practice (GMP).
• Monitor the completion of rack and stacking inspections timeously.
• Monitor the completion of material handling equipment check sheets and ensure that equipment is in good condition and safe to use at all times.
• Maintain general good housekeeping standards.
• Ensure that incident forms are completed and proper investigations are done.
• Ensure implementation all quality, safety and housekeeping standards, policies and procedures are adhered to always.
• Develop and coordinate continuous improvement plans for quality and safety compliance.
• Assist in the development of company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate the implementation of all inventory related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)

Management of Resources

• Implement the performance management and talent process with the team members.
• Motivate staff by ensuring incentives, rewards and recognition are given when necessary.
• Allocate the correct number of people and skill to the various areas of responsibility and ensure the correct equipment is utalised to execute tasks efficiently.

Stock accuracy

• Monitor stock accuracy in the warehouses and ensure that it conforms to the documented DC stock accuracy targets.
• Take corrective action to continuously improve accuracy.
• Investigate and report stock variances.

Order Management

• Provide assistance to Warehouse Controllers with outbound and inbound deliveries.
• Schedule and manage deliveries.
• Ensure lost sales are minimized with stock in transits. 

What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:                       

• Minimum 1 year experience within a warehouse operations environment

Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

• Grade 12 / Matric

Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:

• Valid Forklift License
• Strong numerical ability
• Working knowledge of MS Office and SAP
