Stores Assistant at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate receiving issuing, packing, picking and pulling of stock items

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12
• Basic store keeping and stock control qualification
• At least 3years’ experience in an inventory environment
• Computer literacy, efficiency in Microsoft office packaging and SAP will added advantage
• Valid drivers license with the ability to pass Rand Water K53 test
• Basic understanding of SHEQ elements

Primary Duties    

• Ensure stock items are packed as per best practice
• Ensure MSDs /Test certificates are received where applicable
• Conduct bi-annual, weekly and adhoc cycle counts. Report all non-conformances to SKA/IA.
• Ensure fuel is issued and received accurately as per procedure
• Ensure all waste materials are safely stored
• Conduct stock takes as and when required
• Monitor stock levels
• Safe and responsible handling of Rand Water Property including machinery and vehicles
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are adhered to

• Accurate and thorough quality inspection when receiving and issuing stock
• Computer literacy. Accurate use of SAP for stock control and / or reporting
