Strategic Forums Manager N Band - Glenvista at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

The role requires the incumbent to develop and manage effective customer, sector and industry based consultative forums. The SFM will also need to organise and coordinate customer tours as part of the Forums and arrange customer events/functions.

Minimum Requirements    

• Degree/post-graduate qualification in (Public Relations/Marketing/Business Management)
• General knowledge of water sector
• Ability to create multi stakeholder platforms.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Project Management
• Proven track record of managing and facilitating workshops/conferences.
• Be comfortable to engage at all levels of management.

Primary Duties    

The primary duties of the Strategic Forums Manager are as follows:

• Management of Rand Water Forums (Water Services Forum; Mining & Industry Forum)
• Sourcing of presenters/speakers for each Forum topic
• Drafting of Forums topic schedule for the year
• Drafting of Forum agenda for each Forum topic
• Sending Forum meeting invitations to Forum Members/Customers
• Hosting of Forum meetings/engagements
• Management and coordination of Forum Tours
• Management and coordination of Forum functions
• Building relationships and networking with other Water Boards
• Engage internal Rand Water business units for topic development and delivery.
• Stay abreast of water sector developments and identify opportunities for Rand Water

Business Partnering and Service Delivery:

• Build effective relationships with the customer base, partners and other key players in government, private sector, academic institutions.
• Work closely with line manager and customer services coordinator through collaboration
• Produce attendance register for each Forum hosted.
• Produce recordings (online recordings) for each Forum meeting.
• Capture and submit speaker database for each Forum meeting.
• Attend networking events (conferences, symposiums)Ensure availability of Forum presentations for uploading purposes

Month-end Processing:

• Submit reports pertaining to Forums sector engagements into Customer Service Development Sectional Monthly report.
• Ensure monthly up to date record keeping/filing.
