Strategic Scorecard Manager - ExeMan (Pretoria) at South African Reserve Bank

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Develop and continually improve the scorecard products and services (framework, practices, tools and templates).
• Facilitate the development and refinement of the strategic scorecards with business through the strategy formulation process.
• Continually test and evaluate strategic objectives, measures and targets with objective and measure owners.
• Work closely with the Human Resources Department in facilitating alignment between strategic scorecards and individual performance contracts.
• Work closely with the portfolio management function in the Strategy Management Office (SMO) to understand the relationship between programme benefits and the performance on the strategic scorecards.
• Partner with key stakeholder departments such as Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance, and Human Resources to ensure the effective management of the scorecard process.
• Develop and manage relationships with key business stakeholders through the SMO business partnering model to enable the delivery of the scorecard management process.
• Use advanced analytics to understand the relationships or cause and effect within the strategy, and  provide insight to business to constantly test and adapt the strategy.
• Partner with portfolio management to cascade the strategy below departmental level to increase alignment between strategy and operations.
• Facilitate and manage the strategy review sessions by analysing data and managing issue tracking and the resolution of poor performance with business.
• Continually scan the internal and external environment with the rest of the SMO for threats to successes or opportunities in meeting strategic goals and targets.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to own function and ensure compliance with relevant governance frameworks as defined by the SARB and the SMO.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• a minimum of an Honours degree (NQF level 8) in Strategy Management; a postgraduate degree in an analytical/statistical field will be an added advantage); and 
• a minimum of seven to eight years of relevant experience, with at least five years’ solid experience in balanced scorecards, strategic scorecards, value-based measurement and business performance management.
