    Campaigns and Projects Officer - ExeMan (Pretoria)

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Develop the SARB’s external and internal strategic campaigns and projects to build and maintain the capabilities required for effective communication across various channels.
    • Execute strategic campaigns and projects throughout their life cycle (planning, launch and maintenance phases) in line with approved frameworks, standards, processes and policies.
    • Partner with and engage departments to determine their unique campaign requirements.
    • Implement the communications operational plan by consolidating external and internal campaign requirements arising from planned and ad hoc events.
    • Develop a comprehensive plan for all internal and external campaign activities (collateral, training, materials) and ensure effective coordination among stakeholders.
    • Track spending and allocate funds in an efficient and effective manner. 
    • Manage service providers and agencies that have been brought on board to support and execute strategic campaigns and projects.
    • Assess, review and produce reports on the effectiveness of campaigns across the SARB.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

    • a minimum of a Diploma (NQF6) in Communication/Journalism/Economics (knowledge and an understanding of economics will be an advantage); and
    • a minimum of three to five years of experience in a media and communications environment, of which at least two years must have been in an external and internal communications capacity.

    Corporate Social Investment Officer - ExeMan (Pretoria)

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Coordinate the development of the SARB’s CSI programmes and operating guidelines.
    • Develop and implement CSI action plans that outline objectives, targets, timelines and responsibilities.
    • Monitor emerging trends and programmes within the South African socio-economic environment and incorporate these insights into the SARB’s approach to social investment. 
    • Develop plans to drive awareness and publicise the SARB’s social investment programmes.
    • Develop a business case in support of each social investment initiative for consideration by the SARB’s CSI Committee. 
    • Evaluate the SARB’s CSI programmes, identify gaps and make recommendations to align them with core focus areas.
    • Design and implement measures to track the overall performance and effectiveness of CSI programmes and provide reports thereof.
    • Build effective partnerships with external organisations and beneficiary entities to support CSI programmes and maintain sustainable partnerships.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Collaborate with internal clients in defining design requirements and ensure the delivery of fit-for-purpose design elements. 
    • Conceptualise, visualise and create high-quality, creative designs in collaboration with internal and external clients, in line with the SARB brand and CI guidelines.
    • Provide insights on key elements such as photographs, images, infographics, graphs and so forth for publications, communications and brand materials, conference collateral, animation, presentations, infographics and video.
    • Plan and organise work in accordance with schedules agreed to with the Visual Communications Manager and provide regular feedback on progress to clients.
    • Communicate with all clients to provide feedback, insights and guidance on design elements aligned to the SARB brand. 
    • Collaborate with and provide expert advice to clients on all matters related to layout and design, software and processes.
    • Prioritise work according to scheduled publications and urgency.
    • Adhere to turnaround times in accordance with the Visual Communication’s Procedures and Standards document and agreed timelines from clients.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Produce (including writing), manage and publish content for the SARB website and intranet, and ensure the consistent application of the SARB’s corporate identity and brand.
    • Develop a framework for the SARB’s website and intranet to effectively manage and oversee both platforms.
    • Create and manage the content plan for the website and intranet to ensure updated and relevant information. 
    • Oversee and ensure consistency of design, style, corporate identity and branding on the intranet.
    • Produce summaries (blurbs) for the website when publishing media releases, speeches, publications, reports and other public documents on the website and intranet in a timeous and accurate manner. 
    • Produce, publish and update content on the SARB website and intranet, and ensure consistency of style, branding and corporate identity. 
    • Apply creative design principles in the production of new content for the website and intranet to create and develop engaging content.
    • Develop a seamless user experience (UX) navigation process for new and refreshed content that is creative and consistent.

    • Develop and continually improve the strategic insights capability in the SMO.
    • Provide leadership, strategic direction and oversight of the day-to-day management of operations within the SMO’s strategic insights function.

    Strategic Scorecard Manager - ExeMan (Pretoria)

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Develop and continually improve the scorecard products and services (framework, practices, tools and templates).
    • Facilitate the development and refinement of the strategic scorecards with business through the strategy formulation process.
    • Continually test and evaluate strategic objectives, measures and targets with objective and measure owners.
    • Work closely with the Human Resources Department in facilitating alignment between strategic scorecards and individual performance contracts.
    • Work closely with the portfolio management function in the Strategy Management Office (SMO) to understand the relationship between programme benefits and the performance on the strategic scorecards.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

    • a minimum of an Honours degree (NQF level 8) in Strategy Management; a postgraduate degree in an analytical/statistical field will be an added advantage); and 
    • a minimum of seven to eight years of relevant experience, with at least five years’ solid experience in balanced scorecards, strategic scorecards, value-based measurement and business performance management.
