RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Structural Technologist / Structural Designer to join its Pretoria office.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop structural designs, models and detailed construction documentation.
Coordinate structural designs with engineers, architects and other project stakeholders.
Ensure all deliverables comply with project requirements, applicable standards and quality procedures.
Assist with the review and coordination of project documentation throughout the design process.
Provide technical support during project planning and execution.
Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
BTech in Civil/Structural Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in structural engineering design within a consulting engineering environment.
Solid knowledge of structural design principles and detailing for a range of building projects.
Proficiency in relevant structural design and drafting software.
Ability to produce accurate technical drawings, models and construction documentation.
Strong understanding of applicable South African codes and standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
