Superintendent Production Plant - South32, Mamatwan Mine at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As a superintendent production processing you will be responsible to manage the production process to produce continuously, while maintaining safety standards at Ore Preparation, Sinter, and Load-Out Station.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Leads, coaches and mentors team members to ensure delivery against performance targets;
• Monitors expectations, understanding and application of Production Execution processes within the team to support compliance with local requirements;
• Contributes to the preparation of the inputs to form the production budget;
• Coordinates and guides Supervisors in the execution of the week schedule;
• Endorses, leads the execution and monitors effectiveness of production execution improvement initiatives with support from Production Analysis & Improvement;
• Provides feedback to Production Analysis & Improvement;
• Guides Coordinators in the optimization of equipment via Process Control Systems;
• Monitors the allocation of training resources for the effective operation of Production Execution,
• Guides Coordinators in the optimization of equipment via Process Control Systems;
• Manages the integrity of the data captured in Process Control Systems;
• Manage the execution of the Monthly Production Plan (Plan Compliance) and report reasons for deviation in the monthly planning report.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Mining or Processing Environment of which 2 years at least in a supervisory capacity;
• Knowledge working on SAP and MS Office Suite.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree/BTECH in Mining/Metallurgy/Chemical engineering;
• Valid Code 8 Drivers license.
