Supervisor: Roads at Lekwa Local Municipality

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Trade test/ Three year Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Valid code B driver's license
• Computer literacy: MS office.
• 3-5 years relevant experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Performance Areas

• Receiving instructions from the immediate superior and attends to the preparation of the work site
• Assessing the adequacy of procedures, systems and controls associated with equipment and material availability and utilisation.
• Inspecting facilities and surroundings and arranging for defects and/ or maintenance requirements to be attended to
• Planning, organising, directing and controlling the activities of General Workers and Welder on worksites, dividing the workload between subordinates.
• The responsibility for detennining the training needs of the staff under his/her control and for their training
• Guiding personnel with general labouring tasks through demonstrations and explanations on specific sequences.
• Handling of roads signs and markings related complaints.
• The responsibility for the safety of all sub-ordinates, tasks undertaken in the section and of all equipment used in the Section.
