THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

Contract Duration: Permanent

Responsible for the daily running of the shift, to ensure compliance to quality and standard operating procedures, to enforce the established safety system and to maintain Shop floor development system.

What will you do

• Arrange, manage & supervise staff. Solve problems. Planning & Organisational skill.
• Ensure Compliance to South African Labour laws, factory- and machinery act and the OSH and employment equity act; Application of good Manufacturing Practices
• Constantly check machine conditions and rectify or report defects
• Assist with maintenance. Complete First line maintenance and cleaning of the plant.
• Maintain good Safety standards
• Goal & detail oriented
• Housekeeping & ISO & invocoms
• Continuous improvement idea
• Perform Shift handovers
• Maintain necessary documentation and processes.
• Adherence to Food Safety;
• Compliance to Legislation;
• Ensure that there is a Decrease in Customer complaints;
• Daily supervision and directing employee.
• Ensure Positive teamwork; High morale; Low staff turnover & absenteeism.
• Employee orientation and training.
• Ensure that the Packing material, glue, sewing twine and ink is controlled within allowable variances;
• Ensure that the is Minimal packing material damages;
• Finished product stock variance within agreed tolerance.
• Achieve Overall Equipment Efficiencies of >85%;
• Daily production requirements are met.
• Accurate Production reporting

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualifications - Matric, or equivalent qualification. 
• Function –2 – 5 years supervisory experience on packing line or food manufacturing facility.
