    Maintenance Fitter/Millwright – Aseptic

    Maintenance of machinery and equipment on an Aseptic Environment and Supporting Services.

    Reports to: Engineering Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Handson Electrical and mechanical maintenance on:

    • Aseptic Sterilizers, 
    • Tube in tube, tube in shell heat exchangers
    • Condensers, Evaporators, 
    • Multistage Pumps, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems,
    • Cooling Towers, Chillers and pumps
    • Centrifugal Pumps and Compressors.
    • Steam reticulation systems
    • Dozing systems and pumps
    • Different types of positive displacement pumps in sterilization and hot break environment
    • Lubrication of machines and equipment

    Manufacturing and installation of equipment

    Daily condition monitoring of machines & equipment   

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Trade certified Millwright/Strong Fitter/Turner with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge & experience
    • ± 3 years FMCG manufacturing experience
    • Sterilization/Pasteurization processing knowledge and experience is essential
    • Experience in the operation and maintenance of conveyors, shakers, elevators, mono & centrifugal pumps, pipelines, water reticulation equipment, pneumatic & hydraulic equipment
    • Practical knowledge and experience of lathe work (turning), welding (arc, argon, gas, brazing & soldering) and cutting
    • Computer literacy (MS Office)
    • Knowledge and experience of fruit canning machinery would be advantageous.
    • Practical knowledge and experience of a Maintenance Management System, e.g. Pragma or DMS would be advantageous.
    • Must be prepared to work overtime 
    • Able to work in a team 
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Problem solving abilities and fault finding

    Maintenance Co-ordinator: Processing (Ashton - WC)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    To be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and supervision of the maintenance  function and personnel for the processing department as part of the Engineering department.

    Reports to: Engineering Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implement a relevant planned maintenance system
    • Assist with Operator training
    • Assist with writing of Best Operating Practices and implementation thereof
    • Assist to improve Key Production indicators: 
      •  % line capacity
      •  % overall availability 
      •  % overall efficiency
    • Assist with re-engineering and process improvement
    • Control and manage maintenance budget in relevant department
    • Scheduling and planning major/minor shutdowns and sourcing of contractors
    • Successfully implement capex and major maintenance projects

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Qualified trade tested artisan / 3 year degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering

    • Rotary FMC, JBT and HG Molenaar Cookers and Coolers
    • Angelus 40P and 50P seamers,
    • Vacuum Rotary Fillers/Syrupers, Magnetic Elevators and Can Conveying systems
    • Auto and static retorts 
    • Vacuum pump systems, centrifugal pumps, pipe and valve systems
    • Good Knowledge of the OSHACT and HACCP, ISO Standards Applicable to Food Processing Industry
    • Strong production/manufacturing/electrical/instrumentation background

    Maintenance and Setup of Rotary Can Seamers and Fillers.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintenance and setting up of:
    • Angelus 40P and 50P Seamers, Vacuum Rotary Filler,
    • Knowledge of Rotary FMC, JBT and HG Molenaar Cookers and 
    • Coolers
