    Commercial Manager: International Roaming

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To provide the Wholesale team with commercial and analytical support in the management of the wholesale international roaming business
    • Drive wholesale revenue and cost optimisation for the international roaming business
    • Commercial and financial management of Inter-Operator Tariff (IOT) discount deals
    • Assist teams on retail roaming propositions
    • Prepare financial year budgets considering market and consumer mobility trends
    • Financial performance reporting of the wholesale international roaming business against the budget
    • Management of suppliers to the wholesale international roaming business
    • Prepare and lead potential RFx tender submissions

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Strong commercial and financial management support to the Wholesale team

    • Provide reports and insights relating to the performance of the wholesale international roaming business
    • Provide accurate data and robust financial models for evaluating and determining the profitability of wholesale deals
    • Support with commercial decision analysis for ongoing financial management
    • Support by providing the management team with profitability and margin analyses
    • Participate in budgeting and month-end reporting processes by providing accurate data related to the performance and profitability of the business

    Leadership and teamwork

    • Create positive working relations amongst key internal stakeholders
    • Work collaboratively with all Vodacom Group markets

    Vendor management

    • Effective and timely management of vendors/suppliers providing services that support the wholesale international roaming business.
    • Hold vendors accountable for technology enhancements aligned to best practices in the industry

    Communication

    • Written material must be of the highest quality with clear insights and actions for management
    • The ability to communicate and present effectively at a senior level is essential
    • The ability to prepare and present performance to the management team

    Knowledge and experience

    • Develop knowledge of wholesale international roaming
    • Deep understanding of the business drivers and sensitivities
    • Analytics and modelling experience

    Innovation and change

    • Simplify and standardise modelling, reporting, and processes wherever possible whilst ensuring that the requirements of the business are delivered
    • Look for new and innovative ways of working to strive for continual improvement

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Science, or Accounting is preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
    • At least 2 years of advanced commercial modelling and financial management experience
    • Proven ability to communicate financial results to SLT

    Group Ethics Officer

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Drive, influence, and implement ethics strategies within the business and across all Vodacom markets and subsidiaries.
    • Design and develop training content and provide training to all Vodacom leaders, employees, contractors, business partners, suppliers and subsidiaries on business ethics and digital ethics on a continuous basis.
    • Performing business and digital ethics risk assessments and developing and implementing risk management strategies (systems and controls) in respect of key ethics risk areas.
    • Manage and promote the code of conduct and ethics-related policies (Responsible AI principles, Conflict of Interests, SpeakUp, Bullying and Harassment etc) to address ethics and governance issues on a continuous basis.
    • Preparation of reports to Risk, Audit, Social and Ethics Committees, Vodafone, the ESG Team, and other auditors on progress with the implementation of the Vodacom business and digital ethics programmes

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Postgraduate university degree in the appropriate discipline, preferably social or behavioural science (e.g., Applied ethics, governance); and 
    • Certification as an Ethics Officer with The Ethics Institute will be an advantage.
    • At least 8yrs years of relevant post-graduate experience in ethics or governance or related functions.
    • Experience in developing, implementing, and managing ethics programmes across various entities, including providing ethics advice, conducting ethics risk assessment, developing appropriate strategies, policies, training, communication campaigns and reporting will be an advantage.
    • Understanding or experience in driving a digital ethics programme would be an advantage.
    • Required to travel to various Vodacom markets and subsidiaries to drive awareness on ethics standards and to assess the ethical climate culture in those entities.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Provide ethics and governance advice and provide ethics opinions to relevant stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive of Ethics Programmes (Doing What’s Right and the digital ethics programme). These include Forensic, Compliance, Technology, ESG, Human Resources, Supply chain management and contract management Teams. 
    • Digitilisation of ethics systems to improve access for all stakeholder groups and improve efficiencies of the ethics management systems.
    • Conduct ethics reviews and assessments of high-risk ethics incidents or complaints. 
    • Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills.

    Senior Specialist: Legal Compliance Reviews

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Compiling and documenting a legal compliance review/audit plan for approval.
    • Conducting audits/reviews efficiently and effectively in accordance with the audit and review plan to identify and report on significant legal control weaknesses within the Group and its subsidiaries. This includes audit and review planning, preparation, execution, and reporting.
    • Identifying good business practice across, Vodacom, Vodacom subsidiaries and International African Companies.
    • Identifying, recommending, and implementing operational improvements to the legal compliance review processes.
    • Clearing audit and review findings and closing out of audit actions with all levels of management in the organization.
    • Prioritise and analyse laws and regulations applicable to the Vodacom Group of companies. 
    • Identify and test controls to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
    • Monthly and quarterly operational reporting.
    • Stay up to date with developments in the legal and regulatory and governance environment and keep abreast of new policies and legislation as well as changes to existing legislation.
    • Preparation of reports to various audit, risk, and compliance committees.
    • To undertake special projects as required.
    • Travel into Africa is a requirement of this role.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Minimum of 5 years of Auditing/Reviewing legal compliance experience with a focus on financial services and telecommunications.
    • Data analytics (Advantageous)
    • Telecommunication experience (Advantageous)
    • Matric or SAQA accredited equivalent qualification (Essential)
    • Audit and/or Legal qualification required (NQF 7 equivalent) (Essential)
    • Data Analytics qualification/experience (Advantageous)
    • Compliance Practioner Designation (Advantageous)

    Job Knowledge:

    • Legal compliance auditing/reviewing with focus on financial services and telecommunications laws.
    • General knowledge of the South African and International African Companies Legislative System.
    • General governance knowledge and King IV Code of Corporate Governance.

    Senior Credit Controller - JHB

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To allocate cash payments timeously of customer accounts
    • To minimise bad debt
    • To follow up on non-payments
    • To negotiate payments on accounts
    • To collect 100% of billing targets to meet cash flow targets.
    • To allocate cash payments timeously.
    • To liaise with 3rd parties to resolve account disputes which will involve meetings and negotiation with HODs, Financial Managers
