Job Description

• Responsible for managing departmental safety, environmental controls, development of production employees, plant production including quality control, protection of equipment, and departmental cost controls

Responsibilities

• Expense control within or below approved budget
• Implementation of good Manufacturing Practices;
• Adherence to Food Safety;
• Compliance to Legislation;
• Decrease in Customer complaints
• Daily supervision and directing employee tasks;
• Positive teamwork;

• Low staff turnover & absenteeism;
• Employee orientation and training;
• Operational Improvement Management departmental score > 3.5
• 20 Keys departmental score > 3.0
• Compliance to Safety, Health, Environment and Risk standards;
• Accident/incidents are minimized;
• High safety ratings achieved;
• Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Target zero Disabling Injuries;
• Sustainability – efficient use of Utilities and the minimization of waste.

Qualifications

• Matric – Grade 12 
• 2 – 5 years supervisory experience on packing line or food manufacturing facility.
• NQF 3 – Stores & Inventory Management
• NQF 3 – Manufacturing Management
