    Supply Chain Manager

    The duties and responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager will include, but not limited to:

    • Provide strategic input to the development, strengthening and maintenance of appropriate supply chain policies, processes and systems.
    • Effectively manage the end-to-end procurement processes of the organisation to ensure a fair and transparent process.
    • Develop annual procurement plans and ensure the plan aligns to relevant budgets.
    • Maintain oversight that procurement is being performed in accordance with relevant legislation, NACOSA policies and procedures, donor regulations, grant conditions and the procurement plan.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the organisation.
    • Stakeholder engagements such as attending donor and other stakeholder meetings and present as required.
    • Review and validation of new vendor requests.
    • Coordinate and management of the payment process for suppliers to ensure adherence to the agreed payment timeframes.
    • Chair Internal Procurement Committees and meetings as per the approved delegation of authority.
    • Establish and maintain a preferred supplier database.
    • Take initiative, discretion and good judgement in carrying out of all procurement related duties.
    • Management of subordinates, external consultants and other partner organisations.

    Requirements

    • Degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management/Procurement/Finance or Public procurement. 
    • Postgraduate in supply chain management or related field is preferred. 
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a demonstrated ability to manage large procurement/supply chain management processes, preferably in an FMCG/Pharmaceutical or Public sector environment).
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial/supervisory role
    • Registered with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 4 and higher.
    • Report writing, understand and apply contract provisions.
    • Working knowledge of the relevant industry legislation and regulations e.g. POPI.
    • Working experience within the NGO/NPO environment, working with donors such as The Global Fund, PEPFAR, USAID, CDC and familiar with their procurement rules and regulations.
    • Advanced Computer skills, specifically in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, SAGE.
    • Read, write, and speak in two official South African languages, of which one must be English.
    • Driver’s license with no endorsements.
