    Support Technician

    Job Specification

    • Reporting to the Senior Manager Infrastructure, the incumbent would be responsible for performing remote and onsite hardware, software and peripheral updates and repairs in the organisation.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Diploma in Information Technology and/or relevant tertiary qualification
    • 4 years’ related experience within a similar position

    Growth

    • Install new software or hardware mainly in the end-user environment
    • Service and support all IT desktop hardware and applications for the entire KAL Group on a day-to-day basis
    • Ensure that any given IT service delivers the levels of availability agreed upon with internal and external customers
    • Co-ordinates specific sequences associated troubleshooting and problem-solving application problems and

    Optimisation

    • Provides support associated with the capability of application software, peripheral devices, connectivity and/ or functionality of operating software and hardware devices
    • Provision of quality hardware and software technical support is made available to the entire client base

    Leveraging Culture & Diversity

    • Internal and external relationships (including customer and service providers)
    • Provide advice to clients on product offerings, application and after-delivery service

    Digital Transformation

    • Using digital technologies to create new — or modify existing — business processes, culture, and customer experiences to meet changing business and market requirements
