As a System Administrator at Karooooo Logistics, you will play a vital role in managing our IT infrastructure and operations. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the smooth operations of all IT systems, hardware, and telephony equipment, optimising internet infrastructure and facilitating the migration from G Suite to the Microsoft Suit.
Key Responsibilities:
G Suite to Microsoft Suite Migration: Lead the migration process from G Suite to the Microsoft Suite, ensuring a smooth transition for all employees.
Desktop Support
Define and document processes to improve efficiency within each department.
Creation and Configuration of new staff members' accounts, as well as ensuring that all IT systems required for new starters are functional.
Procurement: Order laptops, equipment, and headsets for employees, ensuring that the necessary hardware is available to support our teams effectively.
Network Optimisation: Maintain and optimise the company's network to ensure optimal internet connectivity at all times, proactively resolving any network-related issues.
Supplier Communication: Establish and maintain clear and effective communication with hardware and software suppliers, especially in critical or important situations.
IT Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualisation technologies, to ensure seamless operations.
Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to employees for hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems efficiently.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite and G Suite.
Excellent hardware procurement and management skills.
Proficiency in managing telephony systems.
Expertise in network administration, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and team collaboration.
Knowledge of IT security best practices.
