About The Position

•  We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented IT Systems Analyst to join our Information & Technology (I&T) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and analyzing specific systems.The systems analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet organizational goals and improve overall efficiency.
• The systems analyst will support the business by understating their requirements and advising them as to how these are currently provided by the system and/or engaging I&T for the enhancement or maintenance of the system to ensure effective solutions are provided to business.
• The right person will have a background in data and systems analysis and be self-motivated and passionate about problem solving.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role
• Experience in system administrations tasks such as the following:
• Coordination of systems changes / software builds into production
• Good communication skills in both Afrikaans and English
• Experience liaising with third parties to ensure effective resolution of system issues
• Experience with Structured Query Language or similar.
• Experience in the Agriculture industry, specifically grain and field crop sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to understand processes, workflows, and requirements.
• Analyze and document existing systems and business requirements.
• Contribute to the design of new or enhanced IT solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity
• Develop detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Liaise with developers, network engineers, and project managers to deliver system solutions.
• Assist the testing team in the testing and validation procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate system performance after implementation.
• Provide training and support to end users and produce relevant documentation.
• Assist in project planning and implementation, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.

Skills

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, databases, and enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in systems analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., UML, BPMN).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
